During my first year at Columbia Law School, I was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, awarded the “Best in Class” award for Criminal Law, and won first place in the Asylum and Refugee Law Moot Court competition. These accolades and skills earned me one of three highly coveted 1L summer associate positions at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and admission to Yale Law School as one of eleven accepted transfer students. Upon transferring, I excelled in all my classes and earned a position as Professor Kate Stith’s research assistant and as the Yale Journal on Regulation’s Executive Managing Editor. My student note, Compassionate Release During Crises: Expanding Federal Court Powers, was published in the Yale Law & Policy Review and earned the Edward D. Robbins Memorial Prize. Upon graduating from Yale Law School, I joined Wachtell Lipton's litigation group, where I have gained experience in regulatory and white-collar criminal matters, internal investigations, and civil litigation. Beginning in 2024, I will begin my federal clerkship in the Southern District of New York, which will be followed by federal clerkship in the Second Circuit.
While in law school, I worked hundreds of pro bono hours, ranging in nature from asylum applications to government litigation. From the Davis Polk Asylum Clinic as a first-year, the Liman Center as a second-year, and the San Francisco Affirmative Litigation Project as a third-year, I have dedicated a substantial portion of my academic career to pursuing public interest opportunities in areas that I am deeply passionate about. I am also a member of the New York City, Federal Bar, and Hispanic National Bar Associations.
Prior to law school, I served as a paralegal at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where I worked on hundreds of investigations and a dozen trials involving foreign and domestic corruption offenses, criminal civil rights violations, and frauds against the government. These cases involved government officials and former politicians whose conduct ranged from campaign finance violations to bribery and wire fraud. I collaborated with federal agents in compiling data, conducting financial and statistical analyses, and creating comprehensive reports and exhibits for trials and investigations. Additionally, I have assisted in witness and proffer interviews, testified about analyses in both grand jury proceedings and federal trials, and conducted legal and factual research. Apart from providing effective legal assistance, I also bring experience working with federal agencies, witnesses, victims, defendants, and opposing counsel.
